Why Choose Our Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Matched to your skin

We use IPL or a long-pulsed YAG laser, chosen for your skin and what you want to improve.

Tone, texture and redness

One treatment can work on uneven tone, fine lines, open pores and small areas of redness.

Doctor-led care

Treatment follows doctors’ protocols, with your skin type and medical history checked before we start.

How it works

  1. Free consultation and skin assessment
  2. A personalised plan and a clear price
  3. A course of three to five sessions, with a review of your results

Sun, time and day-to-day life all show on the face: uneven tone, fine lines, visible pores and skin that looks duller than it used to. Laser skin rejuvenation is a way to freshen your skin without surgery or injections, and at our Llanelli clinic it costs £100 for a half face and £150 for a full face.

Cowell St Skin & Hair Clinic is in the centre of Llanelli. We are a doctor-led clinic registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, and we have been treating clients since 2016.

Every client starts with a free consultation. There’s no pressure and no sales pitch, just an honest view of what treatment can and can’t do for you.

How Laser Skin Rejuvenation Works

Illustration: the light is absorbed by uneven pigment and redness in the skin, breaking them down while its gentle heat stimulates new collagen. Over a course of treatments the skin tone becomes clearer and more even, the texture smoother, and the complexion brighter and fresher. © Cowell St Skin & Hair Clinic.

The treatment uses pulses of light, from either IPL or a long-pulsed YAG laser. The light is absorbed in the skin and turns to gentle heat.

That heat encourages the skin to produce new collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep it firm and smooth. The light is also absorbed by excess pigment and by small blood vessels, which helps to even out brown marks and redness.

The result builds gradually over the weeks after each session, as the skin renews itself.

What It Can Improve

People usually choose skin rejuvenation for a combination of concerns: fine lines, uneven skin tone, sun damage, open pores, mild redness and a dull complexion.

If one concern stands out, a more targeted treatment may suit you better. We also offer pigmentation removal, thread vein removal and fractional laser resurfacing for deeper lines and scarring, and we will tell you at your consultation which is the best fit.

Who Is It Suitable For?

We can treat skin types up to type 4 on the Fitzpatrick scale, which runs from very fair skin to light brown skin. Tanned skin cannot be treated, and that includes fake tan.

We check your skin type and medical history at the consultation and tell you honestly what kind of result to expect.

What You Can Expect from Treatment

  • A comfortable treatment: most people feel warmth or a brief, mild sting, which is usually well tolerated
  • Little downtime: some redness is normal afterwards and usually settles quickly
  • Gradual results: skin tone and texture improve over the weeks after each session
  • A course of sessions: most people have three to five sessions for the best results
  • Honest advice: if another treatment would suit your skin better, we’ll tell you before you start

Laser Skin Rejuvenation in Llanelli: Your Questions Answered

How much does laser skin rejuvenation cost?

A half face is £100 per session and a full face is £150 per session. We confirm your price at the free consultation, before any treatment.

Does it hurt?

Most people do not find it painful. You may feel warmth or a brief, mild sting during the treatment, which is usually well tolerated.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people have three to five sessions for the best results. We confirm the number at your consultation, once we have assessed your skin.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. Some redness is normal afterwards, and most people go straight back to their day. You’ll need to avoid heat for a day or two and protect your skin from the sun.

Is it suitable for my skin?

We can treat skin types up to type 4 on the Fitzpatrick scale, which covers very fair to light brown skin. We cannot treat tanned skin, including fake tan. We confirm your skin type at the consultation.

What is the difference between this and fractional laser resurfacing?

Skin rejuvenation is a gentler treatment with little downtime. Fractional resurfacing gives more dramatic results for deeper lines and scarring, but the skin needs time to recover afterwards.

How do I book?
